International Conference on the Physics of Reactors PHYSOR96 Breakthrough of Nuclear Energy by Reactor Physics CALL FOR PAPER September 16-20, 1996 Mito, Ibaraki, Japan Organized by Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute and Co-organized by Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Development Corporation SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT SCOPE of CONFERENCE ------------------- The International Conference on the Physics of Reactors (PHYSOR96) will be held in Mito, Ibaraki, Japan during September 16-20, 1996. The previous conference was held in Marseilles, France in 1990. These meetings are involved in series of Topical Meeting on Advance in Reactor Physics held every other year in USA; in Charleston, South Carolina (1992), Knoxville, Tennessee (1994). The conference will provide an international technical forum for broad review of the currently most important fields of development in the physics of reactors. Papers are encouraged which present developments in computation methods, codes and applications to reactor analysis. Reporting of operation experiences of newly constructed facilities is also encouraged. The program will include studies of advanced reactor and fuel cycle design.
