Using the resonance parameters of 728 1451 29 the selected 17 resonances,the cross section was calculated 728 1451 30 with an approximated R-matrix formula/2/. 728 1451 31 Roughton et al./3/ measured thick target F-18 activity yield 728 1451 32 in the incident alpha particle energy Ea=8.4-16.8MeV. The 728 1451 33 activation cross section corresponds approximately to the sum 728 1451 34 of (a,ni) cross sections to the F-18 excited levels of which 728 1451 35 excitation energy less than particle emission energy;Ex<=4.416 728 1451 36 MeV. The calculated cross section was adjusted to reproduce 728 1451 37 the experimrntal thick target F-18 yield. Thick target yield 728 1451 38 calculation was made using alpha particle stopping power given 728 1451 39 by Ziegler/4/. 728 1451 40 728 1451 41 MT=4, 22 (a,n), (a,a'n) 728 1451 42 The ratio of each cross section of neutron emission to the 728 1451 43 neutron production cross section was calculated with a modif- 728 1451 44 ied EXIFON code(named "mEXIFON")/5/, and each cross section 728 1451 45 was calculated by multiplying the ratio to the evaluated neut- 728 1451 46 ron production cross section. 728 1451 47 728 1451 48 MT=50-54, 91 (a,n0), (a,n1), (a,n2), (a,n3), (a,n4), (a,nc) 728 1451 49 The partial cross sections were obtained by ratio calcula- 728 1451 50 tion with a statistical model code of Hauser-Feshbach type 728 1451 51 including T-spin factor.
